About Us

DR KENNEDY HONGO FOUNDATION is Non-Partisan, Non-Governmental and Non-Profit Making Organisation, registered in Kenya.

The foundation is named after Kennedy Ouma Akello Hongo, HSC (Mc’Ben). Dr. Hongo was the late Dr. Geoffrey William Griffin’s protégée, Personal Assistant and Assistant Director, Starehe.

Our Mission

We are committed to the fight against three enemies that Kenya’s Founding Fathers set out to tackle at Independence namely: Ignorance, Poverty and Disease. We are aiming at Providing African Solutions to African Challenges (PASTAC), through Leadership, Education & Legislation. And Promoting STARNORMICS and the Making of STARNORMS and, the promotion of fairness and justice.

Leadership

We spearhead leadership that understands the concept of "we live to serve others" and to make our own individual and collective contributions for a better tomorrow.

Education

We focus on seven pillars of Education including knowledge , skills, understanding , practice, attitudes, attributes, interpersonal relationship skills among others.

Legislation

This is all about laws , rules, regulations, policies, Systems, structures, Methods, economy, management, governance, politics, etc.

Our Transformative Projects

ICY Studio (Nyamasaria)

Empowering youth to explore their talents through music and production. Youth are provided opportunities for recording music, talks, and shows. Upcoming Producers are also able to enable Youths to try their production gifting and talents.

ICY Gym

Training youth in Tae Kwon Do for future Olympiads. Currently training 50 youths with sights set on the 2026 and 2028 Olympics. This is where we have 50 Youths being trained on Tae Kwondo. We are motivated, geared and committed to and focused on the making of the Olympiads.

Garden of Hope Centre

Providing care, education, and development for orphaned, poor, and disadvantaged children to help them realize their full potential. In this Place, we seek help and the support for young, orphaned, poor, needy and or otherwise disadvantaged Children.

ICY Sponsorships

Offering Education opportunities for young boys and Girls. They Are being offered free care and education so that they become true leaders in the real sense; enabling them to overcome today's challenges, turning their hopelessness into hope.

Katito Pilot, Land Bank

Food Security Programme. For Food Security, Starnorm Home Centre, Local Community Empowerment Centre, incorporating eating places, poultry hatchery, fresh food production, animal keeping, chicken farming.
